Hello,
exciting news! FOSS4G North America conference will be in Raleigh next
year. FOSS4G is the main conference for Free and Open Source Software for
Geospatial (anything and everything). The North American one is a
collaborative event by Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) and
LocationTech and is organized by the Eclipse Foundation.
Geospatial analytics, maps and most lately UAVs/drones are now everywhere.
So, save the date:
FOSS4G North America 2016, May 2-5, Raleigh, Convention Center
https://2016.foss4g-na.org/
I'll try to follow with call for talks and registration dates,
Vashek

Hi friends,
Michael Marley ("mamarley") will be presenting next week on networking and
OpenWRT. He'll cover some networking concepts (subnets, vlans, dmz) as well
as OpenWRT itself.
It's gonna be rad! Dinner to follow.
EB2-3001 is a conference room on the 3rd floor of EB2, in the bridge
between the east and west wing of the building.
Thanks,
Ian

Hi LUG,
Tonight we have a dearth of speaking talent. In lieu of a formal
presentation we'll be doing lightning talks; if you have something you want
to talk about, come on in and show us. All computery topics are welcome.
There may also be a sing-a-long.

Hi LUG,
Tonight our dinner meeting will be held at Waffle House at 2237 Avent Ferry
Rd. Meet us for delicious waffles and okay coffee to talk about Linux,
technology, politics, the weather, or anything else you feel like.
See you there!

It's me!! I'll be presenting at the NCSU LUG this Tuesday! Wow! EB2-3001,
7pm, and we'll go out for dinner afterward.
It's not 100% nailed down yet but I'm probably going to talk about
abstraction layers in computing, i.e. how we go from quantum mechanics and
chemistry to transistors to logic gates to digital electronics to CPUs to
code to <...>. And Linux.
It might be interesting!
See you there,
Ian Kilgore

Hi Vincent,
Do you have more information on the project? What skills are you looking
for and what technologies are you using?
Best,
Daniel
